release description

Master producer, singer and tattooed wunderkind, Mystery Skulls AKA Luis Dubac has dropped his debut album, Forever, via Warner Bros. Records. The album is a collection of songs that provide a fresh take on disco by blending electro, soul, 70s and 80s pop with futuristic elements ushering in a new era of pop music. It includes two blissful dance tracks "Magic" and "Number 1" featuring Nile Rodgers and Brandy.

Dubac is a self-taught musician from Dallas who through trial and error, perseverance, hard work, self-belief, great timing and the courage to move to Los Angeles has made a name for himself. On Forever, he sheds light on the past by focusing on the future, on new experiences, accomplishments, failures but most of all growth.

"I'm really into albums and the thing about records where people have a different singer on each track, a lot of times it's more like a compilation record than something cohesive," says Dubuc. "I love old soul records and musical production so I really tried to meld both."

"What makes polymath Luis Dubuc so immediately remarkable is the near-endless palate of skills he's got at his disposable." — Thump
