release description

Having already received 4 star reviews in MOJO, Uncut, The Guardian, and The Sunday Times, Jon Hopkins' fourth solo album, Immunity is a confident, dramatic record, defined by an acute sense of physicality and place and inspired by the arc of an epic night out. It feels like the hypnotic accompaniment to a journey of creativity, a trip inside Hopkins' mind, using analog synthesis alongside manipulations of physical, real-world sounds to make dance music that feels as natural and unforced as possible.

The "Open Eye Signal" single features remixes from Happa, Lord of the Isles, Luke Abbott and Nosaj Thing and is available digitally, in white label 12" vinyl format, and as part of the iTunes Bonus Track version of Immunity.

Listen to Immunity in its entirety now via NPR Music's "First Listen" series.

Jon will be in New York on August 31st for the PS1 Warm Up Series. Tickets and more info.

"Jon Hopkins' album Immunity is a warm, vital album that features moments of driving techno interspersed with soft piano stabs and ambient interludes. It's overwhelmingly pretty, but also just sort of overwhelming. . . it's a really great album with lots of layers and tunnels and gorgeous moments to burrow into..." — The FADER

"Simply bewitching. Jon Hopkins gives us his most dramatic and techno-driven record to date on Domino and also, it's frankly amazing. " — Bleep - Album Of The Week
